Third annual Bead Fling, Donna The Buffalo, the circus

28 Comedian Alonzo Bodden (a former jet mechanic and winner of Last Comic Standing 3) performs his cynically good-natured comedy at Tampa Improv tonight and through the rest of the weekend — New Year's Eve included. 8 p.m.,

29 The Bay area's bead-obsessed masses are invited to the Third Annual Bead Fling, during which several local bead purveyors display their latest wares to benefit Krewes Kare, an organization that supports Southeastern hurricane victims. 6:30-10 p.m., Gaspar's Grotto.

30 Observe Kwanzaa with other like-minded individuals and their families, and enjoy live music and drumming, special Kwanzaa-related activities and a tasty feast. 6-8:30 p.m., Enoch Davis Center, St. Petersburg.

31Aside from watching the Buccaneers lose to the Seahawks, there's any number of things to keep you occupied this New Year's Eve. Whether you're making merry at First Night 2007 in downtown St. Petersburg (see p. 31 for more info), or watching the ball drop from the comfort of your couch, make sure to have a blast.

01If you missed their New Year's Eve show at the Coliseum, Donna the Buffalo play another gig this evening at Skipper's Smokehouse. 7 p.m.,

02 Holistic healing expert and Energy Medicine author Donna Eden offers real-life solutions and lively demonstrations on shifting the body's energy for maximum health and vitality during her special seminar, New Year, New You. 6:30 p.m., First Unity Church, St. Petersburg.

03 Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus brings its so-called "greatest show on earth" to the St. Pete Times Forum. Expect lions, tigers and plenty of PETA picketers.
