Cong. 11 Candidate Debate

Pencil this in on your busy social calendars: The Weekly Planet's Political Party live talk show will host a special edition on Wednesday, Aug. 23 featuring a debate between the five Democratic primary candidates for the Congressional District 11 seat. Jim Davis is leaving that Tampa-Bradenton-St. Petersburg seat for his run for governor.

We've had confirmation from all five, Hillsborough County Commissioner Kathy Castor, state Sen. Lesley "Les" Miller, Scott Farrell, Al Fox, and Michael Steinberg.

The time will be 7 p.m., and we're working on the location.

Oh, and pencil in Tuesday, Aug. 15 for our regular edition Political Party, which will be held for the first time at American Stage theater in downtown St. Petersburg. Topic and panelists to come.
