I believe I might be ready to gag if I read one more story about "Black Friday," "Cyber Monday" or any other account about people spending money this coming weekend.
That being said, a couple of local business merchants did hold a news conference on Monday to promote yet another special day amidst the Thanksgiving Holiday shopping madness – that being "Small Business Saturday," the second one ever, to take place this Saturday.
Joining Jimenez at a news conference at her store to promote shopping locally during the holidays was Tampa area Democratic Congresswoman Kathy Castor and Scott J. Moore, President of Urban Body Clothing, a store located in Tampa's Hyde Park.
Moore said that corporate bigwigs like American Express and Federal Express are running ads promoting a day of shopping at small local businesses for this Saturday (AmEx card holders can actually get a rebate if they purchase goods on their card this Saturday).
