Creative Loafing Tampa Bay endorses Naomi Esther Blemur for Commissioner of Agriculture

CL breaks with other local pubs here in selecting Naomi Esther Blemur to fill the seat vacated by Nikki Fried when she decided to run for governor. As senate president, Wilton Simpson more or less sat back as Gov. Ron DeSantis launched a culture war instead of focusing on issues like the insurance crisis. A cabinet is supposed to speak truth to the guy in charge, and Simpson can’t be trusted to do that any longer.
