Creative marriage proposals caught on video

Musical Proposal: When planning a proposal, it helps to have the resources of a major TV show at your disposal. Still, this woman's boyfriend took the initiative to contact the show's producers and set up the most elaborate wedding proposal I've ever seen. It's not every day that hundreds of dancers and singers conspire to blindside your bride-to-be with love. The only thing that ruins this proposal is that she also had to agree to have a mock wedding ceremony within minutes of saying yes.

-Movie Trailer Proposal: The amount of time and energy that went into making this video speaks to the groom's desire to give his bride a memorable proposal.

-Magic Kingdom Proposal: People come from all over the globe to propose to their girlfriends by the Cinderella Castle at Disney World. In their pre-proposal speech, they inevitably include some line about how their girlfriend is a princess. If you insist on attempting a Disney proposal, contact the park ahead of time and set up something a bit more magical than dropping to your knee at the food court. Park officials will jump at any chance they can to create a magical spectacle. While I've heard mumblings on the Internet that this proposal was fake, it is still impressive, as is his singing.

-Old Spice Guy Proposal: This proposal may not be terribly romantic, but it is inventive. Besides, what girl wouldn't rather have the Old Spice guy propose to her than her actual boyfriend?

-Video Proposal: This is a cute, creative video that took some planning. The key to a video proposal is finding a unique way to surprise her with the video.

-Graffiti Proposal: This proposal is pretty self explanatory, but it is evident how much time and talent went into it.

-Weatherman Proposal: The best thing about this proposal is that the weatherman stays in character the entire time.

-Top Gun Proposal: If you insist on doing a dinner proposal, the trick is to find a way to make it more romantic than simply dropping the ring in her champagne glass. I'll admit that I partially like this proposal just because I've always wanted to pull off the Top Gun pickup, but for an air force man this is pretty creative. I just hope she likes Tom Cruise as much as her future husband.

  • A good proposal takes planning

After watching hundreds of marriage proposals online, I've come to a few conclusions. The first is that most people believe their wedding proposal is the cutest, most creative, and generally best wedding proposal ever. Most people are wrong. But, this does prove that many women are so blinded by the prospect of marriage, and new jewelry, that they will mistake a sloppy proposal for true romance. What separates the below examples of creative wedding proposals from uninspired cliches is planning. The amount of planning and foresight that went into your proposal should be self-evident by the time you drop to your knee. A quality wedding proposal speakers for itself, and requires no babbling explanation of how much you love your girlfriend before you actually pop the question.
