Happy Monday to you and yours out there.  What a weekend it was.

If you weren't in front of  a TV set at 9:00 a.m. yesterday, we've got a breakdown of yesterday's U.S. Senate debate held at USF Tampa;  Charlie Crist was accused by Marco Rubio of "heckling" him, as the governor was insistent to get the dirt out in the open about Rubio's handling of his personal finances and how it relates to his character.  A day later, a new poll shows that Crist isn't dead yet.

We understand reporters Mike Salinero with the Tribune and Janet Zink with the Times spent their Saturday hanging out all day at the Alfano Center where Hillsborough and Pasco County Republicans held an all day event interviewing potential candidates to replace Jim Norman on the ballot, including Jim Norman.  But when it was all said and done, the party showed they weren't completely tone deaf in dissing Norman and choosing Rob Wallace in his stead.  Contributor Chris Ingram has more.

Over the weekend the new documentary on Pat Tillman, called The Tilman Story, was released on a couple of Tampa Bay screens.  Read our summary here if you like.

And what a weekend in sports.  The Texas Rangers knocked off the New York Yankees on Friday night, and the San Francisco Giants pulled off a huge stunner in knocking out Philadelphia on Saturday night, meaning one of these franchises, who've never won a championship playing in their current cities, will finally say they are the champions in a week and a half.

And also in our sports wrap-up, what the hell happened at the St. Pete Times Forum to have to cancel last Friday night's pre-season NBA game between LeBron James and the Miami Heat against the Orlando Magic?
