[image-1]While some hungry artists may criticize Edwards for making shocking pieces that feed off the celebrity of his subjects, you can't deny that he has a talent for sculpting realistic forms. And, Edwards' work does comment on America's obsession with celebrity, even if it does profit from it at the same time.
Edwards' past sculptures include "Octomom: String of Babies," "Dead Prince Harry," a topless bust of Hillary Clinton, a nude and curvy Oprah Winfrey sarcophagus, Suri Cruise's first poop, Paris Hilton stretched out naked while her Chihuahua Tinkerbell jumps on her chest, and "Monument to Pro-Life," which features Britney Spears naked on hands and knees, on a bearskin rug, giving birth. (All sculptures pictured below)
The Jolie statue, "Landmark for Breastfeeding," is said to be inspired by a cover of W Magazine featuring Jolie. The sculpture will be unveiled in September at a Norman Oklahoma gallery. Jolie had no comment on the piece.
