Actor, former WWE star and newly-minted dog daddy Dave Bautista will dress as a pirate and look for that booty.
Bautista announced on his Instagram account today that he will indeed lead the upcoming pirate invasion, as grand marshal for the 2020 Gasparilla Pirate Fest.
“Finally after all the hoping, wishing and praying I finally have an excuse to go out in public dressed as a pirate and scream at the top of my lungs all day long without consequences," said Bautista in the post. “‘I come for the booty!!!!’ Dreams do come true!”
The "Guardians of the Galaxy" actor will be joined at the parade on Jan. 25 with 20-year veteran of the Tampa Police force Travis Maus, who will be the event’s honorary community hero.
“Dave Bautista and Travis Maus represent some of the best in our Tampa Bay community,” said Captain Richard Champman of Ye Mystic Krewe of Gasparilla in a statement. “Each year, Ye Mystic Krewe of Gasparilla selects accomplished individuals that shine a spotlight on our city and give back to others. Both of these gentlemen exemplify these traits and we look forward to welcoming them in the 2020 Gasparilla Parade of Pirates.”
