Dear Trump Voters: Letters to family, friends and Jill Stein hold-outs

There are a few things we've been meaning to say to you.

Those of us at CL who oppose Donald Trump (pretty much all of us) have been known to wonder about his supporters: “Who are these people?”

But the thing is, we know who you are. You’re in our families and our circles of friends. We meet you at parties and bars and on Facebook pages.

And you’re probably thinking the same thing about us:

Who are you people?

In the interests of mutual understanding, if not appreciation, the CL edit staff decided to write some letters — some to specific people in our respective spheres, some to more generalized groups, and one to those of you still clinging to Jill.

Stay calm and read on.

Dear voters who like Trump because he’s “honest”…

Dear family member hell-bent on Trump…

Dear immigrant…

Dear single-issue voter…

Dear gay Trump voter…

Dear Trump supporters who surround me…

Dear Jill Stein voter…

Who does CL like in this year's elections? Find out in our 2016 Voting Guide.
