Although it's mostly the political left who are apoplectic about the broad deal agreed to between President Obama and congressional leaders to raise the government's debt ceiling while cutting spending by about $2.4 trillion, there are more than a few Congressional Republicans who say they won't go along with it, such as Fort Myers area Representative Connie Mack.
Mack, who has flirted with pursuing a run for the U.S. Senate seat, told MSNBC's Morning Joe program today that the deal – which includes a special committee of lawmakers who would be assigned to finding another $1.5 trillion in deficit reduction- says he won't support the plan, but conceded later in the interview that he believes it will pass anyhow (leading NBC's David Gregory to blast Mack for "insulating" himself by voting against something which he knows will pass anyway).
