Dennis Hof to open Sci-Fi themed brothel

Hof recently purchased a rundown brothel 90 miles northwest of Las Vegas on highway 95 with the intention of turning it into a sci-fi themed, sex den called, The Alien Cathouse. Hof also acquired the adjacent bar, gas station, and convenience store that he plans on transforming into "The Area 51 Alien Travel Center."

To manage the costumes and decor, Hof has employed notorious Hollywood Madam, Heidi Fleiss. While the business is expected to open in a month or two, in an interview with The Las Vegas Review Journal, Hof was vague on the specifics of the space brothel. He had plenty of t-shirt slogans like, "girls from another world," but he offered few insights into the specifics of the brothel, like if each sex suite will have its own theme, if each entertainer will embody a different sci-fi character, or if the interior will simply have a generic alien theme.

At best, the brothel will be a full-contact, fantasy realm for men who grew up fetishizing their attraction to Princess Leia, Lara Croft, Wonder Woman, or the blue aliens in Avatar. Presumably sci-fi super-fans will be the target market for this brothel, but this group will also be the most hypercritical if Hof mixes fantasy geekdoms, like crossing Star Trek and Star Wars, or Battlestar Galactica and Babylon 5. Then again, maybe these men will not mind which realm or dimension or planet they are having sex in, just so long as they are actually having sex.

Brothels are legal in ten rural Nevada counties that are desperate to syphon tourist dollars from Las Vegas. Around 24 legal brothels operate in seven of these counties, but despite most people's perceptions, many of these businesses are struggling. Hof's brothels seem to be the exception. He now controls more brothel licenses than anyone else, five, and plans to buy more. He is also one of the most outspoken, and famous owners, appearing on the HBO reality show that follows the exploits at The Moonlite Bunny Ranch. No word yet on if a similar reality show will go inside The Alien Cathouse for the Syfy channel.

Dennis Hof is the most business savvy pimp in the country, or at least the only one who can go public about his success. Like entrepreneurs in any other field, he now plans to diversify and adapt his business model to reach an untapped market: specifically sci-fi lovers and geeks.
