Devil's Playground does 'Star Wars' burlesque style (video)

[image-1]Well, the cross over of Star Wars from simply a nerdy passion into a sexual niche happened, if only for a night, when Club Bordello in LA transformed into Mos Eisley Cantina for a Star Wars themed burlesque show.

The party was hosted by Devil's Playground Burlesque Troupe, who presented a Video Game Girls show last year. To compensate for the lack of female characters in the fantasy series, many of the male roles were recast as female parts with sexy, stripped-down, vintage/futuristic space wear. Of course, the famous metal bikini made an appearance, but so did a C-3pO in gold body paint and pasties (Lucy Fur), a black tutu wearing Boba Fett the bounty hunter (Audrey Deluxe), Darth Vader in fish nets (Charlotte LaBelle), and a busty storm trooper (Courtney Cruz).

Most every heterosexual American male has fantasized about Princess Leia in that metal bikini from Return of the Jedi. While we weren't quite sure what the morbidly obese space slug, Jabba the Hutt, needed with a woman in a bikini as a slave, we had waited through the first two movies just to see Leia in anything less than a white sheet, and we weren't about to ask questions when presented with this stunning visual that rivaled all of the revolutionary special effects.

While Star Wars continues to be popular enough to  draw convention centers worth of people dressed as characters from the film series, this franchise had yet to reach the realm of hyper sexualized female characters in anime/hentai, comic books, and video games, all of which host conventions almost strictly dedicated to these  fantasy foxes. Why? Probably because the films make it seem as if Princess Leia and Princess Amidala are the only hotties in the entire galaxy.
