Last fall Tampa Bay & Company, which represents more than 700 businesses in promoting tourism and economic development in the region, celebrated its 25th anniversary.
To mark that celebration, the group hired Doreen Collier Event Show Productions to produce an in-house video production that they also placed on their YouTube channel.
Performed with a Tampa twist to the Black Eyed Peas' "Boom Boom Pow" (which that band performed before a hundred million people at the Super Bowl Sunday night), some local Tampa personalities, such as Mise en Place's Maryann Ferenc, Paul Catoe from the Convention & Visitors Bureau, Tampa's neighborhood services administrator Santiago Corrada and yes, Dick Greco, can be seen trying to show some rhythm. Check it out (though you may not last for the entire four minutes plus of the video)
We're told that outside of the video being posted on YouTube, it has previously not been seen by those outside of Tampa. The video was produced before Greco announced his candidacy for mayor last November.
Comments, anyone?
