For all of you weekend warriors and DIY MacGyvers, here's a green project to tackle that will help you save some energy in your home: a solar water heater. Just follow these step-by-step instructions on how to make a simple solar water heater from everyday household items.
How does it work? Water inside a water reservoir will flow through the PVC pipe, the simple parabola reflects sunlight onto the pipe and heats the water in it.
