Monday's a drag — but in a good way.
More than 45 area entertainers join forces for a diva-tacular and fab-oh benefit — Mary's Cares at Hamburger Mary's. The fund-raising event serves up live vocal performances, drag queens, drag kings, dancers and live musical acts from 7 to 11 p.m.
All the proceeds from the entertainment spectacular go to The Trevor Project to help save the lives of our GLBT youth. The Trevor Project is an American non-profit organization that operates the only nationwide, around-the-clock crisis and suicide prevention helpline for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and questioning (LGBTQ) youth.
Admission is free, but reservations will be required if you'd like to a sit-down meal. Word is the first show is filling up, but seats are available at the 9:30 performance.
Included in the event are raffles throughout the evening. Event contact and performer Daphne Ferraro (pictured) can fill you in on the details at [email protected] Hamburger Mary's is at 1600 E Eighth Ave, Tampa. For reservations, call 813-241-6279.
