First of all, we can reassure Floridians concerned about Rubio’s strong conservative stances that he’s just one of 100 members of the Senate, and won’t be able to pass anything on his own.

However, he was  one of the most charismatic and hyped-up candidates of 2010. There’s no question that many of his viewpoints are not only shared by the most conservative of the senators elected with Tea Party backing, but that he also has the ability to lead others. Here are a few things that Rubio will support as your junior U.S. Senator.

1. A ban on all earmarks. Soooo…. that means that those of you in Pinellas County who supported Bill Young this past year because nobody brings home the bacon like the octogenarian Young, consider that Rubio, if he follows through on campaign rhetoric, will now try to stop Young from ever funding local projects by that method ever again.
