Though the race is far from decided, in the Hillsborough County School Board race in District 4, it looks like there will be a run-off between two newcomers - Stacy White and Richard Bartels. White is leading at this time, with 36% to Bartels 30%, and 8-year incumbent Jennifer Faliero is looking like the odd woman out, with 27%.
In a message she just sent out on Facebook, Faliero wrote,"I want to thank everyone for their support of me over the past eight years. It is now time to move on and support Dr. Stacy White as he moves ahead in runoff in November. He is also a conservative and I believe he will serve District 4 well. He is a gentleman and never went negative. He is also a proud Buckhorn parent - just as I was 8 years ago."
In District 2, Candy Olson has easily won over Frank Hernandez.
But there's intrigue in the District 6 race. Incumbent April Griffin is taking the popular vote, but doesn't look like she'll get the 50% +1 needed to avoid a runoff. Most people (including Griffin) believed it would Christian conservative Terry Kemple who she would face off. But right now Kemple is trailing Sally Harris by a little over 1%, with 310 of 383 districts reporting.
