Beach Theatre is the perfect place to take refuge from Florida's suffocating heat, with its cool dark interior and deluge of appealing film offerings you won't find anywhere else in town. This week is no exception. The Beach hosts Indie Fest, with three selections on the schedule. Married Life is a 1940s noir-style drama about an adulterous man who decides that he must murder his wife rather than put her through the humiliation and misery of his leaving her to be with his young and lovely mistress; The Counterfeiters is a German/Austrian drama that relates the true story of Salomon Sorowitsch, the so-called "King of Counterfeiters" who was seized by Nazis and forced into a counterfeiting operation to help finance the Third Reich's war effort; and Gus Van Zant's Paranoid Park is a dark coming-of-age tale about a teenage skateboarder trying to come to grips with his involvement in the accidental death of a security guard.
