This Friday, Beach Theatre offers a presentation of selections from Spike and Mike's 2008 Twisted Animation Festival. The fest was founded by Craig "Spike" Decker and Mike Gribble in 1990 as a platform for animated pieces considered too controversial or adult in nature for the Classic Festival of Animation. (The fest birthed Beavis and Butt-head and Spirit of Christmas, Matt Stone and Trey Parker's original uncensored South Park short.) Today, the fest continues to bring shorts with titles like Rats on Cocaine and My First Boner to the masses. See some at Beach Theatre during its Friday Night Cult Film series screening. Fri., June 20, 10:30 p.m., 315 Corey Ave., St. Pete Beach, $7 adults/$5 students and seniors, 727-360-3667, beachtheater.com.
