Based on a classic children's novel by Frances Hodgson Burnett, The Little Princess stars Shirley Temple as Sara Crewe, a smart, compassionate, independent-minded little girl who is left at boarding school after her widowed father is sent to fight in the Boer War. When the headmistress receives word of his death, Sara is forced into servitude.
