Financial reform vote today, and immigration comes back with a vengeance on the national stage:Mitch Perry Report 4.26.10

After taking a weekend off last week, it was with much interest that we tuned into all of the various Sunday morning public affairs programs on broadcast and cable news yesterday morning.

First up was the financial reform bill that the U.S. Senate will vote on this afternoon.  Will the Republicans be able to maintain their 41 votes to prevent further discussion of the Chris Dodd sponsored bill tonight?

The other issue that everybody is talking about is something that we wrote about this week in our weekly publication - immigration.  Specifically, the legislation signed into law last Friday by Arizona's governor that critics could fear will lead to racial profiling.  Lots of talk on that yesterday.
