Minneapolis underground hip-hop duo Atmosphere (pictured below) brings their "Paint the Nation" full-band tour to State Theatre in support of their April '08 LP, When Life Gives You Lemons, You Paint That Shit Gold. CLIP 19 (the 19th annual Tampa International Gay and Lesbian Film Festival) kicks off tonight with a screening of Ruby Blue, a comic drama that stars Bob Hoskins as an elderly man whose innocent friendship with a little girl is called into question when she goes missing. 7:30 p.m., Tampa Theatre, $9.
3. Today marks the start of "Give and Receive," a three-day clothing drive that gives Stein Mart shoppers the chance to donate clean, gently used (good condition) garments to Salvation Army. In exchange for each donated item, participants receive a coupon for 20 percent off any one item in the store. The collected apparel will help replenish Salvation Army’s Thrift and Family Stores. 4. Beach Theatre offers free showings of the debates between the vice president and presidential candidates, which begins with tonight's standoff between Sarah Palin and Joe Biden. 9 p.m., St. Pete Beach.
