1. Tarsem Singh’s The Fall is an adult fairy tale full of adventure and special effects brilliance; see it at Tampa Theatre.

2. The date has finally arrived: Nada Surf plays State Theatre tonight.

3. A three-night run of Killer’s Head – Sam Shepard’s 1975 one-act monologue – opens tonight at the Studio at 620.

4. New album releases: Weezer’s Red Album on Geffen Records, Fleet Foxes’ self-titled full-length debut on Sub Pop, and Ladytron’s Velocifero on Nettwerk Records.

5. Former Sheryl Crow guitarist Todd Wolfe brings his bluesy, instrumental jam rock to Skipper’s Smokehouse.
