Although this is a win for our reputation, it does seem a little strange.

To be ranked lower than Alaska? Come on, people.

Everyone has seen those people at Publix who buy a strip of scratchers only to hand them back to the cashier to scan them — so addicted they don't take pleasure in scratching lotto tickets?

We're home to some animals, but clearly not "true" gambling addicts.

WalletHub assembled the list based on 20 factors, some of which being, gaming machines per capita, lottery sales per capita, % of adults with gambling disorders and legality of sports gambling.

Again, we fall short because our sports teams are less than reliable when it comes to a winning season. Floridians, we've redeemed ourselves this time.

Now we wait for the next list.
