In Tallahassee yesterday, Bill McCollum celebrated after a judge ruled against his GOP challenger Rick Scott's legal bid to prevent McCollum from accepting public financing for his gubernatorial efforts against the mega-rich Scott.  McCollum was so pleased afterwards he signed the state up to defend Arizona in its fight against illegal immigration.

5 days from the special session in Tallahassee, opinions are mixed about how much legislation not related to offshore drilling will be discussed.

Time's counting down in Washington on a Senate energy plan.  Harry Reid cautioned everybody watching yesterday that it won't have any of that crazy, green, Sierra Club stuff in it.

And the Hillsborough County Charter Review Board voted the other night to thwart the will of Hillsborough voters from a 2008 vote, but one man stood up against that decision.
