Most sex researchers agree that the G spot exists as a trigger for female orgasms independent of the clitoris. However, exactly what the G spot consists of or where it is located is still hotly debated.

Human tissue loses definition the longer a person remains dead, making it difficult for medical researchers to identify subtle features of the human anatomy, like the G spot. Because the US has more regulations regarding how soon researchers can dissect cadavers, Ostrzenski went searching for the G spot on the corpse of an 83-year-old woman at the Warsaw Medical University in Poland. He described his discovery as a grape-like cluster of erectile tissue located in a small sac within the vaginal wall.

Ostrzenski's one-woman study has quickly earned criticism from feminists and sex researchers alike. Some believe he is trying to oversimplify the complexities of the G spot by limiting it to a tiny cluster of erectile tissue. As scientists are discovering in their quest to find a female Viagra, there is no simple on-off switch when it comes to female arousal.
