Happy….end of the first quarter of 2011, anyone?

It's certainly been a huge three months of news, mostly internationally, but governors like Scott Walker and Rick Scott are certainly keeping their end of the bargain to change things up.

But starting overseas, as the situation continues to be scary regarding the nuclear power plant in Japan, the Florida Greens say now is the time to end producing and maintaining such plants here in Florida.

Tampa Mayor-elect Bob Buckhorn is on record as saying he wants to have red light cameras installed in Tampa, and next week his new City Council will vote on that opportunity. But one Florida Republican in Tallahassee wants to prevent Tampa, Hillsborough and every other city and county in the state from doing so.

Although there wasn't any coverage in the local press that I could detect, contributor Kenneth Quinnell reports from Tallahassee that approximately 1,000 people marched for labor rights on Tuesday.

And an NBC News/Politico debate set for early May as the first GOP presidential debate won't happen for four more months now. Why? Well, you have to have more than one candidate to have a debate, don't  you?
