Ever been, you know, standing in a crowded bar when a passing stranger decides he wants to squeeze your buttocks? Not a great feeling.
Well, isn't it a compliment? you might ask.
The answer would be no, because nobody ever wants to be treated like a slab of meat that's there for the taking.
Well, conservative commentator Rush Limbaugh may think that type of behavior should be a-ok.
On Wednesday night, he railed against GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump's critics in the wake of a series of reports suggesting Trump engaged in unwanted groping of women.
Earlier, multiple outlets reported on several different claims from women about Trump's behavior toward them. One woman said Trump groped her breasts on an airplane in 1982. Another said he forcefully kissed her in Trump Tower in the early 2000s. Another said he pushed her against a wall and tried to kiss her at Mar-a-Lago, his estate in Palm Beach County. The list goes on. Politico reports these women "were motivated to speak after Trump denied at last Sunday’s presidential debate that he had ever actually carried out the actions he described in the 2005 recording." Trump's campaign vehemently denies he ever did what he bragged about.
Then, CBS News busted out some footage of Trump in 1992 saying he would "be dating" in ten years a very young girl who was riding on an elevator in Trump Tower.
All of this comes on the heels of the Washington Post's bombshell last week that Trump had been recorded bragging, among other things, about how his fame entitled him to go up to any woman and "grab them by the p***y."
Limbaugh implied he sees nothing wrong with any of this.
Instead, it is those of us who would rather not be groped or hit on by significantly older men who view us as temporary prizes (at least until we turn 35) who are being the jerks by insisting there is an obvious, bright-red line between mutual/consensual affection and, well, assault.
They're all sluts anyway, Limbaugh seemed to imply, so what's wrong with a little unsolicited touching in the bathing suit area if an insecure alpha male feels like it?
"The left will promote and understand and tolerate anything, as long as there is one element. Do you know what it is? Consent," Limbaugh said Wednesday on his radio show.
He then complained that, whenever there a question over whether there was consent in a given incident, liberals deploy "the rape police" to take all the fun out of everything. Or something.
This is the same Rush Limbaugh that compared giving equal rights to transgender people to legalizing rape.
Meanwhile, Trump is on the campaign trail simultaneously bragging about how much women love him while somehow also lamenting why more women don't support him.
Since the leaked tape entered the news cycle, Trump has been sinking in the polls.
Thousands of supporters came to see him speak in multiple stops in Florida, including Lakeland, where he doubled down on his attacks against opponent Hillary Clinton.
