(Update)Before life became extremely loud and incredibly close when the Republicans invaded Tampa last month, CL reported on the push to get the Peace and Freedom Party presidential ticket on the November ballot.
Though we're slightly behind the curve, we can report that it was a success and Floridians will now have the option of voting for comedienne/activist/progressive Roseanne Barr, and peace activist Cindy Sheehan
(Update:For "personal and health reason," Sheehan announced last week she was withdrawing from active participation in the campaign. However, her name remains on the ballot in Florida).
The key aspects of Barr's platform include making cannabis and same sex marriage legal, and forgiving student loans.
Meanwhile, another far-left presidential ticket that tried to make it on Florida's presidential ballot — the Socialist Workers Party (SWP) — was rejected last week.
