If you’re scrambling to file taxes by the April 15 deadline, or just realized you haven’t even started, you’re in luck.

Florida’s tax deadline was from April 15 to May 1 due to last summer’s hurricanes Debby, Helene and Milton. The new deadline was originally only for those directly impacted, but was later extended statewide. Alabama, Georgia, North Carolina and South Carolina also got state-wide extensions.

Florida taxpayers can also file for free directly to the IRS starting this year with Direct File.
