Forum for Tampa businesses to get involved with Republican Convention to take place January 19

Ken Jones, the Host Committee President and CEO, said in a statement that "We want to promote our Tampa Bay small business community and maximize their opportunities for exposure to the many corporations and convention attendees who will be coming to the Tampa Bay area this coming August."


In a press release, the Host Committee writes that participants will also hear from Host Committee leadership, convention related contractors and representatives from local government certifying entities.

Important news was released Thursday afternoon for local businesses who want to get a piece of the estimated $150 million that will flow Tampa's way for hosting the Republican National Convention in late August.

The 2012 Tampa Bay Host Committee has announced that they will be holding an educational forum to inform local Tampa Bay small business owners and program participants on the guidelines and registration process of the Host Committee’s Small Business Network.

The event will take place on Thursday, January 19, from 9:00 a.m. — 12:00 p.m. at the Safety Harbor Resort and Spa in Safety Harbor.
