French Quarter: High on Style in New Orleans

The people of New Orleans don't just dress up for Mardi Gras.

It’s wintertime in New Orleans, and even without a Mardi Gras parade in sight you can still pick the locals out from the crowd.

They're the ones in the Quarter smoking cigarettes (seems they haven’t gotten the memo that it’s bad for you yet)…

…wearing hats and headdresses (everyone’s got something topping off their look)…

…and making tatters appear stylish (some of these people look like they’ve stepped off a movie set)

And they've all got the one thing that most embodies the New Orleans vibe… soul.
