The 15th annual St. Petersburg Times Festival of Reading brings an abundance of word-loving luminaries to USF for a day of discussion, signings and general literature appreciation. Authors David Amram, John Leland and Christopher Felver honor the 50th anniversary of On the Road with a "Visions of Kerouac" panel; later in the day, the ladies (Barbara Caridad Ferrer, Kristin Harmel, Kimberly Llewellyn and Jane Porter) talk about "The Many Faces of Chick Lit." For the young ones, there's Storyland with its myriad diversions — music, arts and crafts, interactive games and costumed storybook characters. C-SPAN's Book TV Bus will also be on hand for photo ops, and submissions will be taped for the CNN/You Tube GOP debate. So much fun to be had — set your DVR and think about words on and off the page for a day. Sat., Oct. 27, 10 a.m.-5 p.m., USF-St. Petersburg, 140 Seventh Ave. S., St. Petersburg, free admission, festivalofreading.com.
