The SS American Victory — a 63-year-old merchantcargo vesselthat served the American military during World War II and the Korean and Vietnam wars — stages its third annual M*A*S*H Bash, a fundraiser held in support of the ship's youth maritime education programs and its continued upkeep and restoration. Guests enjoy food by Stumps Supper Club, alcohol, ship tours and a silent auction featuring anything from "Relive History" cruises to nautical and sports memorabilia to restaurant coupons and other goods and services donated by local merchants and institutions. Guests are encouraged to dress in Korean War-era military uniforms/clothing or hospital scrubs for costume contests with categories like "Best Dressed" and "Most Authentic."
