• Frenchie Davis performs at Sawmill on New Year's Eve.

New Year's Eve is the biggest party night of the year and there are plenty of LGBT events to choose from over the long holiday weekend.

Sawmill in Dade City gets an early start on celebrating the new year with five days of non-stop fun, starting Friday, Dec. 28 and ending New Year's Day. Enjoy fireworks, celebrity DJs, nightly beer busts, a Rose Parade, and a presentation of La Cage Aux Folles. The high point of the weekend is a performance by Frenchie Davis.

Georgie's Alibi in St. Petersburg also gets an early start on the weekend with "RuPaul's Drag Race" star Pandora Boxx performing Friday, Dec. 28 at 10 p.m. There's no cover and a meet and greet after the show.

That same night, the Flamingo Resort in St. Pete throws its Black & White Party. Tops wear black and bottoms wear white — and bottoms drink free from 9 to 10 p.m. The Flamingo Royal Players perform at 10 p.m. and 12:30 a.m.
