Get out your LGBT planner this holiday weekend

On the other side of the bridge, Georgie's Alibi is the place to be Thanksgiving Eve for its 13th annual pre-Thanksgiving bash. The drag show starts at 10 p.m. and there will be $2 domestic longnecks and $1 schnapps shots all night. And the bar will be open Thanksgiving night for its infamous weekly $3 Long Island Iced Tea party.

Beaks Old Florida also offers half off any tab after 9 p.m. tonight in celebration of the holiday weekend.

If you're looking for a place to enjoy a fun Thanksgiving meal, Flamingo Resort offers a traditional dinner with all the fixings, as does Tampa's Rainbow Cabaret.

Ladies, get ready to rock. Someday Souvenir guitarist Chrissy DeRado celebrates her solo CD release Friday, Nov. 23 at the L Train bar in St. Petersburg. Iris Calling and members of Someday Souvenir will also be performing. DeRado will also offer a guitar clinic with tips on playing rock guitar, getting started, getting good tones, programming effects, looping, booking gigs, auditions and more. Pay $10 at the door and $7 in advance.

That same night, lesbian band Karmic Tattoo performs at Ferg's Sports Bar and Grill from 8 to 11 p.m.

Saturday, Nov. 24, kick off your holiday season by heading to Flamingo Resort. The bar will light up the courtyard with its Holiday Lighting Extravaganza.

Or you can go to Ybor, where Honey Pot hosts a glow party, Holiday Glow, as part of its weekly Tease Saturdays series. There will be a special blacklight drag show and over 1,000 glow toys will be given away throughout the night. Doors open at 9 p.m. and there's no cover until 11 p.m.

Forget the turkey. Thanksgiving Eve is one of the biggest drinking nights of the year — almost a separate holiday unto itself — and there are plenty of LGBT events to choose from over the long weekend if you're looking for something fun to do.

Head to Ybor tonight for G Bar's Pilgrims in Bikinis Thanksgiving Eve bash. DJs Bruce Devery and Charles Machado provide the music and enjoy $1 drinks from 9 to 11 p.m. And Arica Love will be on hand to host the outrageously hilarious "Stuff a Turkey" contest. There will be hourly drawings for Target gift cards as well. The best part is there's no cover.
