Ladies, do you love beer? Then head down to Girl2Girl Productions’ Gay Girl Happy Hour and Beer Tasting Party at Cold Storage Craft Brewery, 4101 N. Florida Ave., Tampa, on Friday, April 19, 7 p.m. There’s a $5 cover for this monthly event.

That evening, Honey Pot, 1507 E. 7th Ave, Tampa, hosts the official Rihanna concert after party. DJ Hector Fonseca, the remixer of choice for some of the biggest pop stars, including Rihanna, will be on hand. The party starts at 10 p.m.; no cover until 10:30 p.m.; $5 after.

Support the Tampa Bay branch of the Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network at the third annual Kickball for Kids & Cookout benefit, held Saturday, April 20, 10 a.m. — 3 p.m., 2100 West Swann Ave., Tampa. For $15, you get to play kickball, enjoy a lunch cookout catered by Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse, Pepsi and Nestle, and take part in a costume contest. No team required; teams will be randomly assigned at the start of the tournament. All skill levels welcome.

There’s also plenty of partying to do later that night.

Equality Florida hosts its Pinellas County gala at the Dali Museum, 1 Dali Blvd., St. Petersburg, from 7 to 10 p.m. The gala is followed by an after party from 10 p.m. to 1 a.m. at The Avenue, 330 First Ave. S., with live music by The Honkeys. Tickets are $100 and can be purchased here.

Guys and gals, don your pencil thin ties, poodle skirts and bobby socks that same night. Join Trans*Action Florida for a Sock Hop that night at Flamingo Resort, 4601 34th St. S., St. Petersburg, 8:30 — 10:30 p.m. A $5 donation benefits Trans*Action’s Trans Assistance Program.

There’s plenty going on in Tampa as well.

Head to the Honey Pot for Tease Saturday. This week, dress up as your favorite cat for the venue’s Cat Party. Win cash prizes all night.

Liquid Tampa, 1502 E. 7th Ave. N., presents The Circus That Is: Carmen Carrera of “RuPaul’s Drag Race.” Get in free before 10 p.m.; pay $5 for general admission; $10 for a VIP meet and greet with Carrera. Tickets can be purchased here.

And ladies, if you’re looking to spend a gay weekend in the woods, head up to head to Sawmill Resort, 21710 US Highway 98, Dade City, which is hosting Beauty and the Butch, one of its infamous girl weekends. Packed with events from Friday through Sunday, there’s something for everyone: music, dance and pool parties, karaoke, line dancing and more. Find more information here.

Got a rant or a story or a poem? Pick up the mic and show off your stuff at Oral Fixation’s LGBTQ monthly open mic on Thursday, April 18 at Ybor City’s R Bar, 1820 North 15th St., Tampa. Doors open at 9; show starts at 10 p.m. Performers of all types are welcome and encouraged to share their art.

Sarasota’s Ivory Lounge, 1413 Main St., presents a Marilyn Monroe theme party that same night. Enter the look-a-like contest and drink $4 Marilyn Monroe Strawberry Vodka Cocktails all night. Doors open at 9 p.m. No cover.
