Google adds electric vehicle charging stations to mapping service

How does it work? A user simply has to go to Google and type: "ev charging station near [location]," and voila! It pulls up all of the locations within a large radius.

So the next time your EV needs to power up, as with so many other questions that pop up in life, "Google it."

For those of you with or who will have an electric vehicle, charging stations won't be very hard to find (depending on your location) thanks to Google Maps. The search engine just added the EV charger locating feature to its mapping service last week.

Teaming up with the U.S. government’s National Renewable Energy Laboratory, Google is pulling the listings from the GeoEVSE Forum.
