The Fort Myers area Congressman, thanks mainly to name recognition, has catapulted to an overwhelming lead in polls for the GOP nomination for U.S. Senate this year, and this week has seen two of his challengers say "no mas" and opt to run for a Congressional seat instead.
Former state House Majority Leader Adam Hasner (right) has been working hard since last summer to get the love of Tea Party Republicans, but it hasn't been working.
In a recent Quinnipiac poll, Hasner was receiving only 2 percent of the vote, the same that former candidate Craig Miller was garnering. Miller announced on Monday he was dropping out of the race.
