Happy St. Patty's day to everyone out there in cyberspace. And for college basketball fans - at least the ones who pay attention at this time of year - big day in Tampa today, as the East and South East regionals begin shortly after noon at the St. Pete Times Forum, with the big game being the Gators of Florida taking on UC-Santa Barbara at 6:50 p.m.
Okay, on to the top news of the day. We've been following the discussions before the Florida Legislative session even began in regards to the teacher merit bill known as SB 736, which Republicans worked on and passed in Committees before the regular session even began, then passed in the Senate on the 2nd day of the session and in the House on the 7th.
Tallahassee contributor Kenneth Quinnell has a post on an e-mail sent out from Rick Scott to supporters that some believe might be illegal.
