Great Expectations this holiday season at Dunedin fine Art Center

For the past 22 years, Dunedin Fine Art Center has hosted an annual holiday invitational with the idea being that folks who come to check out the featured works can actually afford to take one (or several) home — and can do so that very same day instead of having to wait for the show's end. This year's show, titled Great Expectations, features works by more than 100 artists from across the country, among them, Maria Saraceno, Yoko Nogami, Denis Gaston, Nigel and Cheyenne Rudolph, Rocky Bridges, Nancy Cervenka, Carolina Cleere, Barabara Grazul Hubbard, Heeseung Lee, P$YNNER, Steve Pawloski, Dawn Estrin and George Wilson. Another aspect of the holiday show is a collection of themed holiday trees scattered throughout the center, each with its own handmade (available-for-purchase) ornaments. Definitely a must-stop shopping destination for those looking for an original different sort of gift for the holidays.

Great Expectations, on display through Dec. 23, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Mon.-Fri. (open until 8 p.m. Tuesdays), 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Sat., 1-4 p.m. Sun., Dunedin Fine Art Center, 1143 Michigan Blvd., Dunedin, free admission, 727-298-3322, dfac.org.
