As eco-friendly as many 'green' expos try to be, the one downside to them are their huge carbon footprints. People drive and fly from all over to attend these showcases of green products and trends, but that also means tons of carbon output due to travel and resources used.
The Green Building Expo 2010, hosted by Green Building Pro, seeks to be truly green by conducting their entire event online, thus saving attendees travel fees and carbon output. According to Conservation International, online events eliminate over 300 tons on CO2 per 1000 attendees. And this expo saves guests another valuable resource: money, because it's entirely free of cost.
Participants get to interact and network with vendors and educators from all over the globe in GB Expo's virtual "city", engaging in live conference sessions and discussions while browsing all the sights that the expo has to offer.
