With Herman Cain leading many of the national polls for the race for the GOP nomination for President, his signature 9-9-9 tax plan has been getting more scrutiny from journalists and economists, with mixed reviews at best (though perhaps the only critic who counts when it comes to taxes and Republicans, Grover Norquist has been giving a thumbs-down).
But where else does this non career politician stand on so many other issues of the day? His recent success seems to have caught everybody, including Cain himself, by surprise.
On NBC's Meet The Press, Cain said he wasn’t being serious when he told a crowd this weekend that he wants an electric fence to span the border along Mexico.
Except that he's said that several times before, and received heat for it each time. So, if it's just a joke, is it worth him having to explain it every time he says it?
