Happy President's Day to you and yours out there in America today.
If you've got the federal holiday off, congrats, I hope you make the most of it. And for the rest of us working stiffs, let's suck it up and make the most of it, shall we?
Well, what other choice do you have? If you're around Tampa at the noon hour today and are depressed about Rick Scott's rejection of federal stimulus money for a high speed rail project in Central Florida, you can join like minded folks for a rally that organizers are making sure doesn't devolve into a Rick Scott verbal bashing.

The key stat for all of the candidates, but especially those trailing to get into a runoff is the fact that nearly a third of those surveyed haven't made up their minds yet, meaning there are still opportunities for Bob Buckhorn and Ed Turanchik to start persuading folks that their message is the right one for the future of this city.
And the biggest political story nationally will resume again tomorrow (after today's holiday) in Madison, where Governor Scott Walker is trying to extract more than a pound of flesh from state public employees, but basically change how unions work in the state.
