A 36-year-old lieutenant with Hillsborough County Fire Rescue was arrested in Plant City yesterday after cops found a botanical extractor — a device used to remove the essential oils from plants — and a couple of pot plants.

According to the Tampa Bay Reporter, the police were notified after somebody found the extractor operating on the premises. After a brief investigation and the discovery that the extractor contained two marijuana plants, the lieutenant admitted that the operation was his, and that he was trying to make his own cannabis oil, which, not to be confused with CBD oil, is still illegal in the state of Florida.

Look, we know firefighters work long hours and they gotta find some way to occupy themselves when they're at the station for days on end, but there's Netflix.
