The Hillsborough County Tax Collector’s office has decided to make shopping at Publix even more of a pleasure (or pain).

Today, Hillsborough County Tax Collector Nancy Millan added new self-service registration renewal kiosks at Publix locations in Valrico, Town ‘n’ Country, and West Tampa.

That brings the total number of Publix tax collector kiosks across the county to eight.

Regardless of the unenjoyable nature of such an errand, Millan—who was elected in 2020 and is running unopposed this fall—says in a press release that being able to renew your registration during a regular grocery run is quite convenient.

The kiosks—a partnership between the Collector’s Office, Publix, and Intellectual Technology, Inc.—let customers renew their vehicle registration and decal in just a few minutes without journeying to a tax collector’s office.

The press release adds that the kiosks’ clear instructions and voice prompts allow for a seamless renewal process.
