Holiday: Ghetto Xmas Party and Hallucination Before Christmas

Two alternative Christmas soirees are thrown only blocks from each other in Ybor City, each offering its own unique take on seasonal good times. Skatepark of Tampa and REAX co-host the seventh annual Ghetto Xmas Party, which features "pimped-out holiday standards" by Clearwater's reggae/ska/punk trio Full Fledged Unit, spins by the Crate Brothers and DJ Mega, free swag from Skatepark and party co-sponsor Atomic Tattoos, and presents for party goers in festive attire. Over at Czar Nightclub, the 14th edition of the Hallucination Before Christmas – the annual Hallucination Recordings Christmas party and canned food drive – revelers can get down and dirty to electronica jams by Monk, Three, Mark Ivan, Una Slim, Lunatik, and several others. Attendees should bring three cans of food to be donated to America’s Second Harvest. Sat., Dec. 20, 9 p.m.: Ghetto, Crowbar, 1812 N. 17th Street, Ybor, $5 ages 18-20/free admission ages 21 and up; and Hallucination, 1420 E. Seventh Ave., Ybor, $10.
