Local zombie lovers social club The Deadite Empire stages World Zombie Day, a living dead walk and charity food drive. Zombie-fied participants "trick-or-treat" for nonperishable food items from 10 Ybor City businesses to donate to America's Second Harvest-Tampa Bay. Make-up artists offer their talents to anyone looking to be bloodied up.
