A wise someone was once quoted, "A house is made of walls and beams; a home is built with love and dreams." The cutesy rhyming doesn't detract from the heart of the idea, that a home is made of much more than its structural components. This idea and many others are explored by more than 30 Bay area artists in Home Bound, a two-day, site-specific installation project presented in Williams Park and organized by newly-formed artist collective, Project: HOME. The event features an array of art or performance-based works that explore the metaphoric concept of "home" in an apolitical manner, i.e., without endorsing any divisive political views regarding Pinellas County's escalating homeless situation. Find out if this is even possible beginning at 6 p.m. this Friday. March 30-31, Williams Park, Fourth Street N. and First Avenue N., downtown St. Petersburg, 727-687-6742, projecthomestpete.com.
