How Flynt Dominick became a male porn star in less than a year

Last year, Flynt Dominick arrived at Fetish Con with nothing. That's not entirely true. He came with enthusiasm, drive, a hustler's charm, a business partner named Mr. Cee, a nine and a half inch dick, and a dream.

When AJ Comparetto first saw Dominick swagger into his Adult Seminar course at Fetish Con, the first amendment lawyer didn't know what to make of this skinny white guy outfitted in a tank top, baggy shorts, and a gold grill. Having never met before, Dominick walked straight up to Comparetto and said, "How about a hug?" Dominick had all the tools to break into the adult industry. He just needed someone like Comparetto to give him some guidance and a few connections.

Exactly one year later, Dominick and Mr. Cee are back at Fetish Con with their production company We Are 321. This time they are not here as students; they are here to speak as experts at Adult Seminars and to shoot several scenes with adult actresses in town for the convention. They are here as proof that it's possible for two street kids from Brevard County, Fla., to break into the adult industry with the right kind of attitude and guidance.

I saw you partying late at the pool last night after Fetish Con's meet and greet. How has your morning been?

I haven’t been to bed yet. I ordered room service, then I ended up having an orgy with three lovely young ladies. That was for a scene. I got paid $400. Then we walked with them in bikinis to CVS. They lost a bet. We got harassed by the police, the Hilton staff, and the CVS employees. We turned a lot of heads. I had my 321 shirt on because I am always looking for a chance to promote our company.

You are shooting another hardcore scene tonight. How many scenes do you have lined up this weekend?

Four. I didn’t want to do too many because it's our one-year anniversary for our company, 321. We have a lot of interviews — I say "we" but my partner Mr. Cee hates this side of the business. He doesn’t like the spotlight. That’s what I love, then the fucking pussy, and then the money. Whereas Mr. Cee is about the money, the pussy, then the spotlight. So yeah, I got booked for another shoot tonight. I have two more tomorrow. I’ll clear a little over $1,200 when all is said and done.

You came to Fetish Con last year to take the Adult Seminar with AJ Comparetto. How did your business launch from there?

I’m the kind of guy where, if I do something, I do it 100 percent. In the seminar I was the guy to ask questions and to volunteer. AJ introduced me to Paul and Tracy Allen at NightMoves. I call them my mom and my dad of the porn industry. Without them I wouldn’t be here. They put me in the right position and introduced me to the right people.

[Dominick takes out his gold teeth so he can speak more clearly.]

I’m a networking machine. The right place, the right time, the right attitude — that’s how I live my life. I meet everybody. You never know who they are or what they are doing. And that’s what I’ve done. That’s what I continue to do. I moved to LA five months ago. I got signed by ATMLA. I’ve shot with damn near every major company. I just shot my first feature with Jim Powers. It’s a remake of that movie with Matthew McConaughey called Killer Joe. It'll be called Squirty Joe.

What specifically did the Adult Seminar teach you?

The thing about AJ is he shows you and teaches you the law side. Then he introduces you to industry people. From there, it's up to you. Through him I met Paul and Tracy Allen. They told me that the energy and the passion I showed in our initial meeting made them want to bring me in with them. That shit means a lot. I am passionate about this. It’s all I do.

In terms of becoming a male porn star, is the right attitude the most important thing?

There’s a difference. First off, I don’t like to say "star" because I’m not a star. I’m a male performer. I’m also a partner in my own production company, so I'm on both sides of the fence. We are so new, we are still figuring everything out. It's all a learning experience.

I've heard that most male performers either break into the industry with a girl, or they break in by shooting their own stuff.

You can get in those ways. The thing is the industry is so small, you can do everything right, but you still have to be accepted. Anyone can film their own stuff at the house if that's what they want. Shooting Clips4Sale scenes is cool. But me, I want the big picture. I want to be at the parties with the big stars. I want to be a porn star. I want to be in movies. I packed my stuff and moved to Hollywood. The thing about being a male porn star is, you have to meet the right people and be there when they need you. Like, the emergency guy. Because guys fall out all the time.

I met one of the top producers for Wicked and I said, "If you ever need anything. I'm your guy. Look, I’ll pick up cum rags. I don’t give a shit. Just give me an opportunity." My time came. I performed. He realized that I had a pretty big dick. And I went and got signed by ATMLA, the other part of my family. I’ve been in LA five months, going to parties and walking red carpets.

Whenever I see you and Mr. Cee, you always have gold teeth in and Mr. Cee always has his ski hat on. How much of that was you deciding you needed a specific persona so people would remember you?

This is what I always say. No one remembers the bald white guy. Everyone remembers the bald white guy with gold teeth. Especially out in Cali. No one has them out there. When people see us, they are a bit standoffish. Mr. Cee is tatted up. I’m the gold teeth guy. But, when they talk to us, they realize we are smart guys. I went to college. I’m a chef. I went to culinary school. I’ve owned my own restaurants. This is something that just kind of happened ... But I’ve been in the business exactly a year and this is the happiest I’ve ever been. It’s a dream—

[Flynt stares at a text he just received from Mr. Cee.]

Oh my god. I just got booked for another shoot.

Do you ever have to take pills to ensure you can perform on camera three times in one day?

You always bring a plan b. I normally don’t have a problem. The Jack Rabbit 4pack is a good pill. You keep them just in case. But in LA you don’t have time for that shit. If your shit don’t work, they'll find someone else. They don’t have time for it.

But, back to how we present ourselves. In this industry, you have to be different. You have to stand out. Where we are from in Brevard County, Florida, we’re hustlers. We’re street kids. We dress a little "urban" or what not. I portray the hoodlum of porn, which there is none of in LA. Now that’s me.

Have you worn your gold grill in a scene?

Of course. All 321 content that I'm in, I'm grilled up. ATMLA chooses for me not to wear grills when I go to a shoot. I'm loyal to them and I do what they say.

What was the process of being signed by Shy Love at ATMLA like?

Shy Love brought me in. She asked how big my dick was. I told her. She told me to get naked. I did. I turned around. She said, "Alright, go get a spray tan and take the gold teeth out." Then she gave me a contract.

How big is your dick?

Nine and a half. A good size for a white boy.

With an agency, do they just get a cut of whatever they book you for while you are free to shoot your own content on the side?

Right. I give them 10%.

How important is it to have an agency like ATMLA behind you?

As a guy it's super important because no one will hire you unless they’re your friends. Even in Miami they will not hire you anyhow because they are all just close friends. In California you are not getting anywhere without an agent. In Florida it’s a little different. They are trying to bring that agent stuff here. In Cali, if you don’t have an agent, you’re not working.

How did you land a meeting with Shy Love?

The girl in 321, Miss Lisa Daniels, introduced me to Shy Love.

And you met Lisa Daniels at The NightMoves Awards last year?

Yeah.

How did you end up with the name Flynt Dominick?

ATMLA said I needed a last name. I love this business so much I made my first name my last name. Plus, whenever I went to meet people, I didn’t know who to introduce myself as. I was like, "My name is Flynt ... My name is Dominick." So I was like. If that’s my name, I’m Flynt Dominck. That’s both my names. Flynt stands for Florida and New York.

What can we expect from you in the near future?

We have a mainstream movie coming out. I have two parodies coming out. Me and Mr. Cee haven’t seen each other in five months so we haven’t shot any 321 content recently. He bought a house. He was doing extreme makeover. I had to drag him to the AVNs because he didn’t want to go. Our site launches soon.

When will you feel like a true porn star?

Getting signed by ATMLA and shooting with major companies, and having the backing of people like Paul and Tracy Allen, and AJ Compretto, that legitimizes us. You can’t say we don’t belong here. Now that I’m in a movie starring Evan Stone — I hate to say I'm a porn star. But, I’ve always said, if I made it on the cover of a real movie, I'll have made it. I mean, I’ve been on covers with my dick or my chest or my hand in someone's mouth, but I've never had my face on the cover. That's when I'll start to feel like a porn star.
